WASHINGTON, KOMPAS.com – For the first time, Twitter messages sent directly from outer space. This is accomplished thanks to new services provided to the NASA astronauts who were on duty at the International Space Station or the International Space Station (ISS).
“Hello Twitterverse!. We r now tweeting LIVE from the International Space Station – the 1st live tweet from Space!:) More soon, send your? S” or if in-Indonesiakan about “Hello Twitterverse! We can now ngetweet directly from the international space station, the first tweet directly from outer space:) “
The message was sent by astronaut Timothy Creamer named using the name @ Astro_TJ on Twitter service. TJ is currently serving on the ISS since December 20, 2009 and will spend time in space for six months.
The message was sent TJ from personal web access service called LAN Support Crew, Friday (22/1/2010). This service can only be used when the line high-speed satellite communications via Ku-band between the space station and ground control center in the middle connected. Not only Twitter, the service can also be used to access the web in general.
To access the Internet, a laptop equipped with a special astronaut who completed a virtual keyboard. Laptops can be used to access the desktop computer in the control center on the ground from a distance. Views on the desktop will be visible on the laptop, including Internet access.
Twitter messages are sent TJ is not the first tweet messages sent from outer space. Earlier, in May 2009, astronauts Mike Massimino with the name @ Astro_Mike had already told his experience in space through Twitter. However, he does not directly access the Twitter but send these messages via email, then NASA’s staff will send them to Twitter.
